I was with my first serious boyfriend for almost two years and we use to plan our life together and had everything laid out in front of us, then it became an emotionally confused relationship.
One minute he wanted me, the next he didn't. He would tell me he didn't want a girlfriend so I would distance myself and the minute I did, he came running back. The ups and downs turned me into an anxious wreck.
He suddenly broke up with me just months before I thought he was going to propose. I was devastated.
I blamed myself for our breakup because I felt like I wasn't this perfect girl anymore. I'd started acting like an insecure, whiny person because I didn't trust him anymore. I hated being that girl. I blocked him on EVERYTHING the second we broke up and haven't looked back.
But it does feel sometimes that what if "US" never ended and this is what keeps me pulling back, not towards him but doing anything new.
How to get over it?
Hey Navya, after reading your story what I can figure out is that you’re still skeptical about what happened and in that situation no words should be unsaid, you should have an open conversation with your former partner about the current mental status on mutual sides, so that if it’s not for you then the story can end happily from both ends but if some tiny conflicts are being exaggerated into unexplainable situations then why waste a beautiful love story! But if the conclusion is final from your end then you should make every possible attempt to erase every part of the memory that affects you negatively and pulls you back! It’s time for new experiences, new places, new people and a fresh start towards your new life! It’s your life, choose wisely, decide patiently & you will pass it through!
Good Luck!
Hey Navya!
I felt really bad for what happened. My friend experienced in the same situation previously. In my opinion, the person who is not sure about what is happening between you two is really confused and sometimes it might be a case that he/she has something to share with you. The best solution to this would be if you both can sit in a peaceful place and sort things out. Be open about what you think. Now that's not gonna happen so you should not regret your decision and just move on. I know it looks really easy to say "Move on" but that's the only choice we have right here. Live your life in a new way now, build some perspectives, follow your hobbies and passions. These are just stages of life which are meant to learn and move. Good luck for your journey ahead. Cheers.
