This one is an ugly truth for me,
I’ve made an ass of myself more times than I’ve had protein and veggies for dinner.
There was a time I tried to pretend in front of my friends that I could be the Wolf of Wall Street and got laughed out of the interview due to not being able to explain derivatives.
There was the time I went out with friends and threw up on my friend’s couch after having a single shot of Tequila.
There was the time I did my first public speaking gig and messed up a speech about my own life which I’d rehearsed over 100 times.
I guess you would have understood how i feel, the thing that messes up with my mind is the flashback of these times whenever i try a new thing, can someone explain what can be done to overcome this?

Solution to your problem is within your problem as you shared these instances with us, look it with a different perspective and you'll realize that no matter who makes fun of you, you yourself never stopped trying new things and this is what everyone needs to know.
Next time when someone makes fun of you, you should be able to make them understand that at least you tried doing something new,
maybe they feel like you might surpass them so in order to make a negative impact on you, the fun is involved.
Now, if you want people to not make fun of you, laugh with them and smile when you do something wrong, instead of being tensed when something goes wrong, believe it is a funny story to tell people and this is when people stop making fun of you since there is nothing left for them to make fun of you.
Give sarcastic comments in such cases, like when someone makes fun fun of your body saying why are you so thin? Say "I'm going for the world record fro slenderness.
Be Confident while doing everything, Make it your priority!
